John taught spinning at the YMCA and knows how to really push the cardio workouts. He has been involved with fitness for most of his life, particularly running. He enjoys the competition of the race. "It not only tests you physically, but mentally," he says.

 

"The combination of eating right, aerobics and weight lifting has proved to be a satisfying experience for me. I call this my tripod... balancing these three areas are what is most interesting," he says. 

John refers to balance a lot because he says this is the key to whether you will return to the gym or not. He emphasizes this by saying, "Find your right balance and your program will be successful. Not everyone is the same, so do what is comfortable for you."
